## Timberwolves Bolster Wings With Underrated Free Agent Signing

**Johnny Juzang Joins Minnesota on One-Year Deal**

The Minnesota Timberwolves have addressed a potential weakness in their backcourt rotation by signing free agent guard Johnny Juzang to a one-year contract, sources confirmed Friday, August 1st.  

Juzang, who played his first three NBA seasons with the Utah Jazz, brings shooting prowess and size to the Wolves' bench. Last season, he averaged 8.9 points per game on 37.6% shooting from beyond the arc in just 19.8 minutes per game.


**A Low-Risk, High-Reward Addition**

This signing represents a low-risk, high-reward move for Minnesota.  While Juzang may not see significant playing time, his proven ability to contribute offensively makes him a valuable addition to a team seeking depth at the wing position. He is 6'7", offering versatility as he can play both shooting guard and small forward.

Head Coach Chris Finch and his staff are known for their player development, which could be beneficial for Juzang as he seeks to solidify his role in the NBA.


**Young Wings Stepping Up**

The Timberwolves already boast promising young wings in Terrence Shannon Jr. and Jaylen Clark, who excel defensively and in transition. However, neither is as consistent a three-point shooter as Juzang.  This opens the door for Juzang to potentially earn minutes if he impresses during training camp.

As a backup option for Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels, Juzang could prove to be a steal for the Timberwolves. The one-year contract incentivizes him to perform at his best, aiming to secure a long-term role in Minnesota.



**Timberwolves Add Two-Way Forward Enrique Freeman**

In another move Friday, the Timberwolves signed forward Enrique Freeman to a two-way NBA contract.  Freeman impressed during the NBA Summer League after going undrafted and having previously played on a two-way deal with the Indiana Pacers. 

“Biggest goal is to get a contract and be a steady NBA player,” Freeman said recently.

Now with the Timberwolves, Freeman will look to earn his spot in Minnesota's competitive rotation through consistent performances in practice and for the G-League affiliate Iowa Wolves.
